Our mission is to help people locate, understand, and share public records about every U.S. police system.
Our project has been in motion since 2020, powered by volunteers for the first two years. We down roots in Pittsburgh as a non-profit and received grant funding in July of 2022. Our second funded year begins in July 2023.

This foundational software role is for an experienced software developer to support the work of our code contributors. You will work closely with our Executive Director, who is responsible for the product roadmap. You will act as steward of our open-source code repositories.
This is a long-term engagement with flexible hours depending on your availability. As our organization grows, we may expand this role to full-time or hire additional facilitators.
$40 per hour minimum. Our annual budget for this role is $30,000–75,000, scaled based on experience and time commitment.
These are flexible short-term fellowships, internships, or contracts. They may last a few weeks, up to 6 months depending on the project and your availability.
